FPS drop when switching windows?

Postby InvaderDoom » Sat Aug 06, 2016 10:03 pm

Apologies if this has been posted before, but I seem to be having a slight issue. I run Hafen at 60 fps normally, but it seems when ever I switch out of the window to say, the map, or the wiki, my fps drops to like 4 fps, and then takes a solid 5-10 seconds to catch back up to 60 fps. Is this a programming bug? If this is intended, I'm fine with it, but it's just slightly annoying. Am I doing something wrong? Or is Java...just Java?

It automatically reduces fps if not focused on window to save cpu resources. I think you can tweak it by typing bghz 60 in console. Like this
:bghz 60
(Or any other number in place of 60)

Just curious what else I might be able to do to increase FPS, I have an i7-2600k, 12gb RAM, and a GTX 760SC video card. I feel like even running with all the fancy stuff on I shouldn't be having a hard time pushing 50fps. Any tweaks anyone knows about?
