Hey guys, so today i was mining and there was a support in the middle of my road and therefore i build one right by his side and destroyed the other, and even tho i had more 2 overlapping the destroyed support, i still go a cave-in right in my face:

Is this intended? the whole area was covered by other supports range and the new one :s

Not a bug.

i'm with granger on this one, if they overlap and since destrying gives you nothing, cave-ins like these should not happen, especially when 1 tile away i built another to sustain all the weight from the destryed one :(

Miners plan on where they're putting supports and don't move them. They might fix or replace damaged supports, but they don't just remove them. It's just not possible without the rock coming down on them... well, leaving the mine unstable at the minimum, anyway.

Might be nice to have a mechanic to remove/move a particular support, but it seems a lot of work a bit of forethought would otherwise avoid as there should be some sort of significant penalty.

Shouldn't be that big a deal to move the road or build it so you're not running into the supports along the way.

As a workaround, use a min stat alt to remove them. You'll have a lot of rock to clean up afterwards, but they're out of your way. Once it's dug out, it won't cave in anymore.
