I found a mother of pearl in the expanded map area.. I was able to take 5 pearls. Then when I inspect it says 130 days until refill

130 days sounds like a bug. I cannot see that being intentional

I'm pretty sure the timers on localized resources are in real time.

it means 130days irl, see you guys in the next 4-5months when i collect my next 1 mother of pearl. GG most useless resource thanks to j&l, might aswell remove it now.

Yeap, when I inspected MoP for the first time it wrote "refill in 89 days". I was like "WTF?!? Are you kidding?.. Wait, it's 89 game-days... still too long but ok", and I've inspected it in like a week IRL and "refill in 81 day". "Ok, it wasn't game-days..."
And you know what - I've found two untouched MoPs in new map areas, and I think that first one is still closed... So if Jorb plan to add new lands every 3-5 months, than it can be really easier to find new one, than wait for old one to refill...

I'm still buffled by the new extended timers.

I think i've seen a 190 days cooldown on one of those Pearls. Ageless ice cooldown is around 35 days atm.
Let's face it, judging from my recruiting experience people rarely play this game for more then 30 days, and often get burnt out in 2 weeks.
Who in the world is going to stuck around for 7 months (!) to grab a stupid 8k LP curio?
Same with ice. Waiting 4 weeks to instantly get 70k-100k (maybe 200k if you try really hard) lp is literally worthless. People who would go hunting for ice usually have 5000+ lp/hour anyways. That's literally around 16 hours of afk-studying, and additional 70k/months would have zero effect on their progress.

If the neccecity for this change was caused by a fuck-up on the dev side (new mountain biomes seem to have crazy amount of local resources), i suggest at least adding a random cooldown decrease every time the resource gets harvested. Because currently we have mountains with over 30+ icicles, and a 30 day cooldown on all of them.
Or maybe you should cull the amount of spires/crystalls/foul vaginas in the world, and give them back their normal cooldown.

Maybe this rant should be moved into a separate topic.

My last ice gave me 650k~. People who would go hunting it would be higher than 10000lp/hour, far higher.

Ice is fine, we get fight around it, people try to steal it, etc. Lower cooldown on ice would lower its effectiveness and give a crazy LP gain to whoever get few of them.

On the other hand, i'm totally agree about the pearl. I saw a pearl at 130 days not that long ago, was like "thehell is that timer?". Huge fuck up on that, might fix it for such a small curio cause right now it's like it never existed to most of us.
