Strange behaviour of tree's "refueling", intended?

Postby hery76 » Thu Sep 08, 2016 8:43 pm

TL,DR: 73Q tree planted 1 month ago (same as other 3 tree's next to it) has already refueled 2 times. the other 3 haven't, not a single one time.

So, i have this 4 tree's planted all at the same time, all with "chop" option at same time and yet, only the tree i'm looking at, 73Q tree, has refueled 2 times now, the others are just there.

Is this the entended behaviour? are they to close? 65Q 68Q 65Q, from left to right in the image.

thank you in advance,

Things regrow on tree is highly random. Regrow tree if you want consistent output.

Tree and shrub regrowth is based on the decay mechanic, the same mechanic that tears down walls and houses over time when not build on a claim. It's very random, indeed. The size of the hitbox makes a difference, too. Smaller trees, such as mulberry, take anywhere from 3-10x longer to regrow than trees with large hitboxes, such as oak, fir, and others.

Im not sure what do you mean by "refueling". Seems like you're talking "I've waited for a couple of months and still get only "chop" option for 3/4 of my trees". But I presume you've did gathered the first harvest from those trees. And if so - this is not a bug, but what Magic said, but if you didn't - that's a bug...

Decay is random. Not a bug.
