Web Shoppe Gateway to PayPal Not Working

Hi,

Not sure if this is correct place to post this - and I did send a PM to Jorb (per another player's suggestion) - but thought I better put it somewhere on the Forums as well, just in case.

I tried ordering some subscription tokens from the web store today (ended up trying x3) and got the following:

1st attempt - timed out without ever leaving the HnH web site
2nd attempt - made it to PayPal login and acceptance, and then timed out attempting to process payment (my account was not charged) and I received a standard "had trouble connecting but your account was not charged" message
3rd attempt - made it as far as 2nd attempt, but seemed to be processing (activity bar suggested this) and then timed out with error message from HnH site that said that the transaction had "timed out and if my account was charged..." to report it

(My account was not charged for any of the attempts)

I was attempting to purchase the x3 sub token package each time.

Yes, I noticed the errors in the logs, but it appears to be on either PayPal's side, or an error with the network (it looks like the former). Their servers just aren't responding.

Probably, they're aware of the problem and will fix it in due time. I doubt there's anything I can do to accelerate the process.

In the meantime, you could use Xsolla instead.

Update: Tried Xsolla and that seems to be having issues as well. I have specific methods I'll use for online payments (with limited/capped funds) to avoid scammers and hackers having access to my overall banking info and so I could only attempt PayPal and Amazon Payments and BOTH of these error-ed out under the Xsolla gateway. I'll give it a rest and try a bit later this evening or tomorrow morning - hopefully things will have worked themselves out.

Hello, sorry to hear about this issue. As we may see your payment attempt was declined by Paypal with the error message ''10422 => The customer must return to PayPal to select new funding sources''. We would recommend you to check the issue with Paypal support first and and then retry. The payment attempt via Amazon is not confirmed as well. Though I'm late to answer, the transaction did go through without a hitch the next day - so I'm assuming the issue was with PayPal - not sure about the Amazon one as I've never actually used that before and have since closed it.

NOTE: There should have been no issue with my "selected payment method" as that has not changed - so again, even in the Xsolla instance, I suspect it was an issue on PayPal's end and not mine.

Also just as a quick aside, in re-reading this I was trying to give enough information to help assist with any sort of "bug tracking" - but am retroactively a bit uncomfortable with how much detail about my personal financial transactions ended up in this thread so will use PM's in the future.

Thanks for the help from everyone though - really enjoying the game and don't mind contributing some dollars in exchange for the relaxation and enjoyment I get out of playing (when I'm not being raided, killed and rage quitting anyway - rofl!)
