Interface bug.

When i got my alt drowed, after death screen i clicked continue.
Created a new character, and then spawned in the world. I saw that i have all the recipes of my old alt, but cant use it.
As my swimming skill was turned on, the alt spawned had turned on swimming skill, without taking any skills.

Yes, this is long known, but it is indeed just an interface bug. You shouldn't actually get any abilities from it that you wouldn't otherwise have.
