I'm under impression that they don't generate new milk. It's somewhat realistic that you can squeeze remaining milk out of cow even if it's dead.

They stop generating milk when they die. You can extract whatever they had in them when they died, and I think that is fine and arguably as it should be.

Reported previously. Not a bug.
