Large amounts of frame stutter/laggyness near water

Postby Jacobian123 » Fri Oct 28, 2016 2:48 am

I was having a few issues on the day of the new update release but now I think I've isolated the problem, whenever I'm near water I get extreme amounts of screen stutter. I've been fine before and it's only happened recently. Using default client.

That's really weird, though. I haven't changed anything in the client that should relate to any such thing. Just for testing, does it help if you use this client instead?

Yeah, that seemed to fix it for me, what did you change?

Just gave it a bigger heap, since I suspected that your stutter was garbage collection. I do know there is some kind of memory leak that's been around for some time, but I haven't managed to narrow it down yet.
