Help Making Rennet

Postby Ariander » Sun Nov 13, 2016 9:29 pm

Ok, wondering what I am missing -

I have suckling maw and vinegar, but no option to make Rennet. Am I missing a particularly discovery ?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Ok, but I have learned every skill I can w/the exception of four (none of them have to do with making stuff - all related to crimes, pk and smithing/tree planting).

I have also discovered milk, suckling's maw and vinegar (though not wine yet) and I still do not have any options for cheesemaking or rennet. :( What am I missing then to learn this skill? (again, I've purchased everything I can with points from the menu except for the four I mention above).

Thanks again,

Where did you attain the Milk from? A tamed or wild animal? Have you built a cheese rack and a curdling tub yet?

I don't have the options to make the trays or tubs - though according to the wiki I have all the required skills and the ingredients for making them.

As for the milk, I've obtained it both from wild cows with a clover and tame cows with a bucket. So the only thing I can assume is perhaps winemaking is a prerequisite? So bummed, waited for a week for my grape juice to turn to vinegar and thought that would be all I needed to get all the "cheesemaking" stuff. Guess I'll have to wait another week while this batch of grape juice turns to wine. :(

So funcused! LOL!

With the new update with variable materials and such, you might need to rediscover some previously known material. Milk, for example.

Well, more confused than ever - I milked my cow, and I've been using boards and blocks all afternoon. But I still don't have cheese rack as an option, nor rennet. So guess I'll just have to wait and see :( Oh well... (and I do have the skills)

Thanks for the responses though...

The common adivce for a situation like this is for you to go back and repeat every step of the process.

Did you slaughter the calf, foal, or lamb yourself?

On the Curding Tub wiki page it has a note at the bottom that says "You need to have discovered rennet to unlock Curding Tubs."

From the Cheese Rack wiki page,"To build one, you must have first discovered cheese curds."

Here's the wiki page for Cheesemaking.

Don't forget the jar you need to make the rennet in
