Mill: can't build milling machine in it!

The worst monsters in the Hearthlands warp the fabric of space and time...

Cannot place new milling machine

Postby pagsiu » Fri Mar 03, 2017 6:25 am

I don't know if it's intended or simply gameplay bug, but I can't place new milling machine after destroying old one in the same windmill. I'm getting error message "The mill needs to be built in a place with available mechanical power." when I try to place the machine. I hope it's fixed asap.
Literally no one.

Truly, these are the questions we must ask ourselves.
“We still, alas, cannot forestall it-
This dreadful ailment's heavy toll;
The spleen is what the English call it,
We call it simply, Russian soul.”

An idea to consider: Tedium, a Feature.

I had already built one inside the same mill but it came out with ugly colors so i decided to break it and build a better one, but...

Similar problem :\ Error on all floors and in the basement. Another character also can't build.

1. I built the mill.
2. Dug up the basement.
3. I built a milling machine.
4. I tried to put a second mill machine next to it for comparison - an error.
5. I used a mill machine.
6. Removed the first unsuccessful milling machine.
7. Now I have a permanent error.
Excuse me, I don't speak English.

Placing a Milling Machine

Postby PufflePitch » Sun Jun 11, 2017 2:24 am

So, i just removed my old Milling machine to replace it with a better Q one, and it just keeps saying that it needs "mechanical power", even though im inside the mill.

And yeah someone told me that the Q doesnt matter on the machine after i removed it, of course.

Anyone else had this experience? maybe a fix? Really would hate to build a new mill.

I think you need to place it in the same place as the last one because that's where the drive shaft is.
