Inventory not available

I noticed this a few times and only did a small search so it may have been posted already.

While attempting to Build an item such as a ground place able, If a crafting window is open at the same time, the crafting window puts a hold on its items in your inventory making them unavailable to be used on the ground place able item. This may be intended but is the only thing I have run across so far.

According to the devs it is intended, according to others (including me) that hate the mechanic it should be treated as a bug and the highlighting only be an indicator what exact items will be consumed by the next craft without blocking these for building stuff.
