Movement bug.

Postby demuri » Fri Dec 30, 2016 3:32 pm

Hi, I have a problem where I can do the very first movement after I start the game. (walking a few steps) and then I cannot do it anymore until I relog and take another few steps.
I can move fine with the minimap though, which is odd.
This makes me unable to finish the tutorial/character creation.
Is there any known solutions for this?

Thanks in advance!

Make friends with the other crabs or try to escape the bucket.

Install 64-bit java. Not a bug.

How about: Check the Java version the client is ran by and popup a requester if a problematic version is detected?

Can Java detect the GPU version? Incompatible 32-bit Intel GPU drivers are the only problem that I'm aware of. Then again, it's 2017. We've had 64-bit operating systems for Windows for about 14 years now, and it being the default since Win8 was released. It just amazes me how slow some companies are to adopt. We're not talking about massive financial systems here, after all.

Bigger issue here is that java.com detects the browser, not the OS, for determining build version. IE/Edge is 32-bit, Mozilla still lists Firefox 64-bit as "beta", and you still have to manually get the 64-bit version of Chrome.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.
