Map error

Postby Potjeh » Sat Jan 07, 2017 11:49 pm

A part of my map refuses to load (works fine on minimap, though). I'm getting this error in system log: "mapfile warning: grid 34db205129b45e4d is oddly gone from segment 5a282e6f6f9d8e49; was at (-4, -2)"

Yes, I'm aware of the error, and I believe it's some kind of Windows phenomenon, hence why I haven't managed to figure it out yet. I'll try and see if I can get some kind of development environment working on a spare laptop or something, but in the meantime, I'm fairly sure the error is transitory and the map will reload again given... the right conditions.

No way I can purge that part manually so it redownloads? Also, any way I can purge previous world markers? The natural ones are cluttering my list :(

*edit* Now opening the map crashes the client (vanilla).

There's no way to clear only the old world, unfortunately. You can purge all of the map data by deleting Haven's cache directory. We should probably add a way, at least, to remove entries from the "Natural" list, but even so, the client has no knowledge of which of them belong to the previous world, so I don't really see I can do that in particular.
