So i have a group and we all make batches of items we havent discovered or whatever like for example those new fishwraps. some ppl got lp from pulling it out and some people didnt. its happening with quite few items

It's probably because they're getting discoveries for more general types that the other people got from elsewhere, such as the food categories.

so what your saying is each food cat will only get you lp vs getting lp for each item in that caterogy?

Filet is one type. Perch filet is a more particular type. Thus there can be variance in the LP you receive depending on types and subtypes you already know.
