Bad red onions

Postby Apillion » Sun Jan 29, 2017 7:19 pm

I did a search to see if anyone else has this issue didn't see any...

Anyway ...

It seems that red onions Are losing ql every generation i'm on generation 4 now and my red onions have gone down to ql 7 last generation
was ql 11 ..

My farming is 53 so the problem could be that i'm super unlucky and get -5 or -4 on every generation on every and only red onion? ...unlikely!

You must've hit a REALLY bad quality field specifically for Red Onions, the rest are going up because the Quality Field for them is higher. There's probably some luck attributed to your predicament as well.

Reread the patch notes, and something looks fishy here:

jorb wrote: Removed generational quality randomization per plant, and thus seed sorting, from farming, and returned to the previous W9 quality randomization mechanic per locality and point in time. Removed inspect feedback on crops. Remade crop quality fields to crop speed fields, so that crops now grow with somewhat varying speeds in varying locales, rather than have their qualities affected by the crop fields.

Could be just some extremely bad luck, but...

Luck, indeed. There are no quality fields for crops.
