No Verification Email

While this is not a game related bug/issue, there might still be something wrong in the system somewhere, i got a friend to play Haven & Hearth with me, but as he created an account on the website he never received a verification email, even after creating an account for him from my computer he still didn't receive the verification email, simply put, he needs the verification email in order to login to his account.

Here is a few facts.
He uses gmail (google mail)
Yes he did check his spam folder
And yes he did wait patiently for the email (been days now)

use yahoo I had the same problem with gmail and hootmail
yahoo works fine you get the mail instantly

Could be an issue with Google again: search.php?st=0&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&keywords=gmail%2A&fid%5B%5D=47

yeah, what waga suggests. Try a different provider.

We need the Safe Certificate for the WebSite like Shubla said some time ago...Idk but I guess Jorbatar have some good points (polytical i believe) to don't use it....so it's a decision they should make, like everything else....btw not having it's a limit for the spreading of the game popularity.

worked instantly ... one problem with gmail is that they have lots of scripts running - so if you use a script blocker allow those

It gets delivered (see above) but because authentification can't be verified it get's dropped into Spam folder by gmail ... so i guess the reason must be another for OPs friend ...

While this wouldn't be an issue for me, I don't think my friend are willing to create a whole new email just to play Haven & Hearth.

It's also a pretty annoying issue and would push plenty of potential players away from the game.

It's a pretty common issue with everyone. Hotmail is usually the culprit as they use a different mail format from "the standard." I have a couple of different emails just SO that I can be ready when I run into this issue. You will run into this issue elsewhere, and with bigger companies than Seatribe. For the longest time EA wouldn't even let you register a Hotmail account.

Hotmail, like the other Microsoft services they claim to be 'email', is not RFC compliant (as they silently drop mails without a bounce, which is explicitely forbidden), thus these 'services' are broken by definition and should no longer be used.

Please switch to a provider that actually supplies email as advertised, not a whateveritmaybebutitisnotwhattheysay from Microsoft.

Yeah mine arrived instantly but I didn't realize because it was in my spam folder on gmail.
