Spear range

Postby Seraphimos » Thu Feb 02, 2017 4:54 pm

I dont know if its a bug or not, but recently i was hunting with spear and noticed that spear range is higher than animals range. So for example, if you lure animal to edge of water or cover it with stones. You can just spam sting safely without taking ANY damage. So such animals as moose, deer or bear are totally harmless if you hunting that way. Same for taming animals. If its intended, then enjoy this small hunting trick.

P.s. you should be like 2-3 tiles away from animal, then press sting. If you press sting too far charecter will come closer than its needed.

have u actually done this to tame animals or r u just speculating ive used the rock method to make it so the animal cant hit u but the animal never gives up so i just end up killing it i didnt use a spear but i would be surprised if that was an exception

You just lower their health when you covered in rocks, then come out do 1-2 hits - done. Right now i have enough ua to tame without cheesing and hunt. So i dont need this trick anymore.

25 UA and 40 MC allowed me to tame ~10 animals in a week.

With my trick i tamed horse with 30 ua and 1 melee.
Without cheesing i dunno, depends on moves you have, our tamer still prefer to stack coins covered in rocks, then use uppercut/sideswipe/artfullavasion. He have around 30 melee/ua and 30 agi.

i tried it when i had 60 ua while behind rocks and the horse just ended up dying was that method of cheesing patched or something i tried it twice with the same results so i just assume it had to always be able to reach u to be tamed this was maybe a week ago
