What kind of hardware are you using? Have an Nvidia GPU installed with an integrated Intel GPU? For some reason the Nvidia utility package let's the Intel GPU handle OpenGL programs. The best suggestion is to make sure the Intel GPU is completely disabled. There's no need for it to even be enable. i fixed the issue, it was the latest Nivida graphics driver update.. rolled back to previous version and all is well.
