Bug? Zig-Zag Ruse and IP

Postby bobingabout » Fri Apr 21, 2017 2:21 am

Zig-Zag ruse, a Restoration move lists "Opponents' initiative points +2". When used it gives points to the enemy, a disadvantage to the move.

I have another move. "Watch its moves" which lists "Opponents' initiative points +1", and when used it gives points to me, a reason to use it other than reducing my opening debuffs.

Exactly the same description, 2 very different results.

Now, I don't know if the description is a bug, or if giving the points to the enemy is a bug, but there's a bug somewhere in here.

Just the description needs to be written better for "Watch it's moves". Not a bug, just not gotten around to by jorb yet.

I don't know if it's just me, but I'm finding it very hard to get IP. Watch its moves seems to be the only move I have that gives me any IP, yet I watch the enemy (Wildlife) pretty much just stacking it instantly over and over. I have a lot of moves that cost IP, but only 1 that gives it, very slowly. It just feels like those high power IP costing moves are a waste when you could do the weaker move 5 times in the space of time it takes to do the more powerful one once.

For PvE (killing animals), you don't even need IP, just spam uppercut then spam full circle or sideswipe.

Combat is mainly balanced/intended for PvP.

It says both, and does both:

I agree that it's a bit confusing to have it in different places in the text, but it's consistent with how the same effects are described for all other moves.

right now, IP is really easy to generate for me through 'Quick Barrage' does crap damage but is friggin fast and causes the red opening real easily too
if no weapon or low mc, get low blow and combat meditation

Not a bug. Answered above.
