Swimming Toggle

I died today, after weeks of character developing, but I do not know If my death was a result of my stupidity or a bug or maybe both.

I was walking alone, minding my business when I faced a cliff, looking down upon it there was deepwater directly touching it and my swimming was toggled OFF.
But I missclicked and my char jumped down the cliff into the deepwater and I drowned and lost everything...

Is this supposed to happen ?!

It's immediately clear that anyone is to blame, but not you! Refer to the developers of the mouse (because the click was wrong, and they did not consider this option when developing). Or contact the Hague Tribunal; they will find and punish all the guilty.

I dont get your agressiviness. I clearly stated that I was to blame because of my own stupidity, but its also the games blame to let me go into deepwater even tho I have swimming OFF

That is a somewhat unfortunate misfortune that befell you, lucky you it was only after weeks and not months or years.

The issue is: as long as you're on the cliff you don't need swimming, you neither need it to jump down - but then you're in deep water and in deep trouble.
It is in the realm of possibilities that Loftar might some day code a fix for this in the form of checking that you can enter the tile at the bottom of the cliff with the current selection of abilities, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Best is not to jump down cliffs into areas you would not want to be in.

Sorry for your loss.

Yep, my joke is a bit cynical and sarcastic, but I do not feel aggression, anger or a desire to humiliate or insult. It would be most reasonable for me not to write anything at all, but I could not resist. Similarly, you could not resist and created this topic. It's just a spontaneous act that it was reasonable not to commit, but not negative. Something like this.

yes, however his post brings light to a topic that requires fixing, yours was just a shit post, the connotation negative or not, it still brought nothing further to discuss.

Yes, when a person approaches the edge of the abyss or climbs a high mountain, and then accidentally falls down, then the abyss and the mountain are to blame. We need to fence everything. And there should not be deep rivers (lakes, seas and oceans), so that no one can drown. We need to fix our planet. It's a pity the developer forum is unknown.

If the protagonist jumped automatically, then I would agree with you. But the problem is that the protagonist at the edge of the cliff automatically stops.

Just a friendly reminder that this is the "Bugs" forum and that the intention here is the reporting of bugs and an attempt at resolution if possible or find a workaround if one exists. If anyone feels the need to use humor, try to keep it in a friendly tone. Let's drop this discussion as it has nothing to do with the discussion of the bug at this point.

As a suggestion, it would be best if you use some reasonable search before making a new thread here. Most bugs have been reported unless it's pertaining to recent changes. (Not always, as it is a smaller community and something do get missed.) This happens to be one of the issues that have come up more than a few times in the past, and the vets of the game just know to avoid this situation.

Just using two words from your bug report, and the first try: search.php?st=0&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&keywords=cliff+water&fid%5B%5D=47
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Will try to look at that.
