Credo Quest Tree Non-Existent?

Postby snooboo » Fri Aug 04, 2017 11:32 pm

Hi. So I was pursuing the Hunter's credo and was given a quest to "Bring a beaver's tail to Aerinnegan". I have the beaver tail but the tree, Aerinnegan, does not appear where the marker points. I have tried right-clicking the beaver's tail on the surrounding trees and ground to no avail. I was told that maybe the tree is underground but when I do go underground, the pointer disappears. I am not sure if it's a bug, but it's definitely getting in the way of my questing for the credo.

I would go back underground and look again for your pointer as it does appear to be saying it's underground ... I did the same thing ...

sometimes the pointer ends up behind things, like the mini-map or the status bars, craft window ... just move around a bit and see if it pops up.

I went and built a minehole right next to it and it doesn't drop down into natural cave. Is it possible that it's still farther down on another level despite no marker?

Given it's pointing to a tree, likely underground, I'd say it's at least on level 2 since the only plant life on lvl 1 are the mushroom shrubs and not actual "trees."
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

At what level (surface/underground) did you fulfill the prior subquest? That is where you have to look for the questgiver, as it seems the game elects them on the exact level you are the moment the quest is generated...

I just thought I'd add two things in case it helps ... my pointer icon shows a tree but it wasn't, it was a boulder .... also there are the new tree's on level one, Witherstand. However, if there is no pointer on the lower levels it could actually be a bug.

Quest giver is underground. Has since been fixed, and most credos do not ask for underground quest givers.
