Natual resourses wont stack ancient roots

so im not sure if this is intended or not but roots take like 7 or 8 days to spawn. ive had one in tree for like 2 weeks now and it still says 1/10
is this intended or a bug? has anyone ever been able to get 2/10 ancient roots in tree( or more) or is it impossible?

I've got some thoughts, but they're educated guesses at best, and complete conjecture at worst. Best I can say is that they're a heavily harvested rersource, and that the empty ones are being filled before it gets around to ever adding a second one to your tree. Seems like at beginning of world, there was more than one in everything.
