Missing sack after crafting

Postby Severe_Patronage » Fri Nov 03, 2017 4:21 am

I just encountered this bug today. I had a full inventory, and a full crate, and crafted a traveler's sack. the ingredients disappeared, but the sack did not generate. I searched the forums here and tried both making a new sack and scrolling my inventory into another container to try to get the first traveler's sack to appear, and all attempts failed. I hate to Necro this thread, but there still appears to be ways to cause this bug.

I split this off to its own thread as the one it was in related to items and sacks "disappearing" into the empty space from a reduced pack size when a sack or other container was taken off the character, not when crafting.

Odds are, if all containers were full when you crafted it and there wasn't space for it to fit into a container, it was dropped to the floor at the character's feet.

I would assume space would have been made when the ingredients were used in the crafting. Are you wearing a tool belt? It may have gone into an empty slot there.

Yes, but depending on the organization, there still may not have been room for the sack to be placed.

I think the order for storing the object goes as follows:
Inventory -> working containers -> toolbelt -> cursor -> ground
As Amanda said, the most likely place for it to be is the toolbelt. I've seen this happen a lot.

Thanks guys! It was in my tool belt. I was completely unaware of how that item functioned.
