Sword disappeared while digging

My quality 73.6 Fyrdsman's sword disappeared while I was digging.

I had my sword equipped in one hand, my other hand was empty, and I had a leather backpack. I went to dig some acre clay and the sword was replaced by a quality 5.2 wooden shovel. The sword did not go into my backpack or fall on the ground, it just disappeared and was replaced by a shovel that I've never seen before.

To make matters worse, the sword was a gift and is far beyond my current means to produce.

Don't you simply have a toolbelt that had a shovel in it, and now has your sword in it? For the record, the standard "poor man's belt" is a toolbelt. Right-click it to open it.

Thank you Loftar, that is correct. I was unaware toolbelts functioned like that. The shovel must have been sitting in there before and then when I went to dig they swapped places.

Wow, I feel dumb. So, there is no bug, I simply am a noob. Thanks for the help!
