Disappearing hats?

Teleskop says his paper bag hat vanished from his account. I think I had a victorian bowler that disappeared as well. There might be a glitch making people lose the hats they paid for.

They seem to vanish at times, especially when operating wardrobes - but only in the sense that they're left in a place that you overlook when searching for it. Also a belt might have consumed it, it's easy to miss it in one. A further difficulty arises when having multiple accounts.

Have you looked in the hearth fire of an character on the account that actually has the hat? As a follow up, are you sure you actually had one in the first place?
