Troll Belt swap and crash

Postby LostJustice » Sun Feb 11, 2018 9:27 am

Odd bug someone found the other day. Basically a friend of mine was mining and he was using the new troll belt. He had auto swapping tools on and swapped the tools into the last two slots of his belt. What ended up happening was causing him to crash on Vanilla client, Amber client on any computer until I had to come and KO him to get the belt off him so he could log in.

There’s also another stack trace when using the vanilla client but it really similar and also a null pointer error.

Someone reported this to me as well. There seems to be some resource which can be put on the belt but doesn't seem to have an image layer. FYI.

Yeah that is what I am guessing that it bugs out when auto swap is on and something like a pickaxe or keys swaps out in the belt and the image fails to load. Problem is when this bug happens you cannot log into any client till someone walks over knocks you out and takes the belt off you.

That doesn't help much, since all the line numbers are different. Fortunately, I found the sent error report, and it is indeed something that's missing an image. Hard to tell what without a more detailed error, however. I've installed a new client that reports bad belt resources more thoroughly, so if you could please test with that.

Ok, I will try to replicate it again. It happens almost randomly so I will just mine with vanilla client till it happens again if it does.
