Can't move through open pali gate

I can on a horse but I can't on foot. Its as if the gate is closed. Don't know what caused it.

If your using Amber client there is a new toggle that is called “Village”, when toggled it causes this. This is probably your issue.

I use default client and the gate is in my own village.

Are you absolutely sure? Try flipping the toggle back and forth and test exhaustively. Is it one particular gate, or all?

I have tested again with the first gate and three others, all in my village, with the toggle on and off. Big gates are unaffected. On foot, small gates won't let me pass with visiting off. Riding on a horse lets me pass while giving visitor debuff. Guess I was wrong about the toggle, but it's in my own village so this still sounds like a bug to me.

Yeah, idk. You still get a visitor debuff in your own village, so there's at least a case to be made that the toggle should be consistent.
