Bats blocking carts

After getting the bat queen event and bats not being an issue anymore i freely walk through them, however a group of bats can block a cart even though they're hanging on the ceiling way above where the cart is

Even though the bats appear to be hanging from the ceiling, the map is still only two dimensional. They're actually on the ground where their hitbox is. You can see this with client mods that can toggle the hitboxes on and off. This will at least help you avoid them until this is potentially fixed.
