Vengeful Incantation bug

If you cast the spell costing 7500xp and attempt to craft a nidbane but get the error: "There are already stronger nidbanes than yours seeking vengeance against that perpetrator." then the spell is dispelled causing you to lose the XP even though no nidbane is sent out so you lose 7500 XP without even sending a nidbane.

The spell icon disappeared and I had to cast it again, which then failed again and i lost the xp again.
