Claim shield bug

Postby Fostik » Tue Jul 24, 2018 8:22 am

Im trying to destroy palisade of player, who leave game in my village.
And when im destroying his claim shield, it also lower my village shield.
So when his claim will be 0 shield, my village will be defendless. Think this is not right.

you can revoke his land privileges if the village claim was there before his land claim. Though that also doesnt solve this issue. I guess good for the dev's to know.

If you revoke the claim, then the palisade is then village property, not personal property, and can be removed by anyone with permissions. (This is how it's supposed to work, at least.)

To revoke his claim i will need:
1. My village claim must cover at least 90% his claim
2. My village claim must be 90% as old as his claim
3. I need really tonns of authority.

Therefore i have only choice - bash it.
But when im doint it - im bashing my own village. That is wrong, because i am a lawspeaker, i cant siege myself

This may be unforeseen consequence of some fix where overlapping shields both take damage, otherwise you could declaim the first one when it's almost destroyed and then have full shield again. May not be technically a bug but devs should address this.

Vatas is right, the shield thing really isn't a bug. It's a fix to a problem that raiders were using to exploit exiting mechanics at the time. I'd have to dig the patch notes to point it out. (Be glad to find them for you if you'd like the reference.)

When it comes to removing an old claim, time is always the factor as the rest can be overcome with just a little patience... put up more authority objects, grind a bit harder to fill the authority, etc. At worst, you could just wait out the 30 days unless that player is still active and you booted their character.
