Joined Knarr crew, was invisible

Hello there, I encountered an empty knarr (most likely the crew was just offline) with a rowboat accompanying it a bit north of a city. I was curious and checked its cargo, then clicked on join crew. Once inside, my character was nowhere to be seen. I rotated the angle of the view 360 but seriously nothing, no indication I was on the boat except that if i clicked outside it, nothing happened. I ctrl clicked out of it and reentered after swimming to my boat. Tried it again and the 2nd time i was visible, at the helm from around where I emerged when I ctrl+left clicked exited the first time.

How about on the top, by the crow's nest.

Where the red arrows are pointing, there's a seating spot.

Oh Wtf I didnt know that..
Although I do believe I would have seen that eventually, and after entering the boat the second time from the same place (brown boat) one would assume I'd stay in the same seating area right? Maybe its not guaranteed everytime in which case I could have been in the crow's nest lol
