That's been a thing since.... w5? There are no crafts for the silk moth, thus no need for discovery... though same could probably be said for several other items you do get discovery for.

That was my understanding. I was thinking there were other objects which are not used in crafting but which still give disco lp but I can't think of anything offhand and testing would be required.

Seems like the silk moth is just an oddity out of the inventory objects because it's not a curio, and it's not used for any crafting, just breeding in silk moth production. If it's a curio or equipment, you get discovery LP for it. If it's used in crafting, you get discovery LP for it.

Not sure if jorb has commented on this in the past or not. I'd have to really dig through archives, though might be an easy search. (Not seeing it on a cursory search.)
