Those food buffs come from chum bait I'm pretty sure. Either you fished it up with that, or that is actually a piece of trash you caught, that someone else caught using a chum bait, rather than a fish per se.

Damn, I didn't even think of this as a possibility. Will try to remember for my own game experience, at least, even if I never see this pop up again.

Would it actually have any influence on a fish, though, or any fish based foods?

Huh. So would it give more strength since the chum bait was pig? Is this a way of changing fish FEPs?

We need a counter on all trash items that shows how many times it's been fished up/gathered as trash, thrown back in the ocean, and fished up/gathered again.

I support this, especially if it also includes the land drop pool and associated means of acquisition.
