Apparently I can end up stealing from other claims even though I took what is actually mine, not theirs.
So I went on a fair adventure on a mountain for good forageables for studying (frog crown and the 10k L.P. 10q flower thing), and decided to check out some localised resources I stumbled upon. One Ice Spire was (very annoyingly) blocked off with multiple claims, so I decided to turn on trespass to get to it (no I didn't get any ice but I did inspect it anyways As I did want to know and it's just trespass no one will care and this mountain is EXTREMELY far from where I live)
Suddenly, an adder attacked me. I was on a horse, so easy snake kill boom trample it over like the slippery pathetic fool it is. And to claim my easy kill, I picked it up. SUDDENLY: SHP DMG A SCENT IS LEFT (I also had tracking on because why not) and I'M RED-HANDED (it expired now, but I'm an outlaw now). Wh... w- WHAT?! I killed an adder while I was still on the very selfish Ice Spire haggler, making the corpse of the adder HIS property alongside the very selfishly stashed Ice Spire, and I'M a criminal now?!
How claims & hearthlaw works should be fixed. I hear a less moral player than me has problems stealing by walking through gates he opened only to get "debuffed" by visitor and couldn't steal. Meanwhile, I'm a criminal for taking an adder corpse I made & is rightfully mine. This isn't the 1st instance actually; I killed deers on someone else's claim (they very selfishly covered up a lot of land they didn't use so I wanted to trespass) and I couldn't pick up the corpses because they became his property (I didn't have theft back then THANK GOD because this guy was A LOT closer to me and had friends with BRICKWALLS)
Oh. And fix it with people contesting for localised resources. People actively just BLOCK OUT others with fences & claims and that's unjust.
Note: I am not a criminal. I only have theft in case someone steals from me so I can steal more back as redemption & revenge. I also have rage just in case I want deeper revenge
