Cows stop producing milk

Me and a few other friends noticed that some of our cows stopped producing milk ever since the 'Dynamic Cow' update. I have a group of old cows from around 6 months ago that I use for milking only, they haven't been pregnant or bred from in that time period but still produce milk daily.

The cows I've been breeding and getting pregnant recently seems to randomly stop producing milk some time after giving birth, according to my friend he's sure this wasn't a problem before the update went live.

It doesn't happen for neither sheep or goats, which only strengthens the belief it was caused by the cow update.

Not sure if devs are following IRL cows which need to be repeatedly impregnated so that they keep producing milk. I think that my cows in milking pens stopped producing milk but it took quite a long time IIRC.

You should use the word "seems" more often.
As milk production can't be exactly noted, U can't say they (cows) won't produce any milk (there is a way to say it exactly, but your description is out of it). You just made a poor decision and bred a low quantity milk cows, so its youth just sucking it out dry. That's why u can't milk it - there is nothing to milk. kill all the youth and wait a day - u'll got ur milk

Had the same with our cows, 4 out of 40 cows in the milking pen stopped giving milk, however I just suspect starvation in our case, since that happened unfortunatelly

I'm guessing this was the case, my 'broken' cows started giving milk after another round of breeding... so not a bug I guess, just loftar mech0nix

Everybody knows that milk is produced only during the few months or years after pregnancy.
Maybe only cows respect this because devs are lazy.
I dont see how a bug which would stop milk production would even work..

I just had a cow stop producing milk.
No starvation ticks and plenty of food, and I'm sure it gave milk before, because i used to get 950L of milk in total, now only 925L.
