Dead from 152 infected sore

So when I went to bed yesterday my hard hp was above 100, I had a few severe maulings (About 16 hp total) with applied heartshorn salve on them and some midge bites. Today when I log in I'm dead with a 152 infected sore. That just doesn't make any sense.

This does sound pretty extreme and not sure if it's just really bad luck or an actual error. Given your location, I'm assuming you weren't in a bed, which accelerates the healing process, including the rates infected sores and venom process. There is also no upper bound on how severe a wound can get, even starting at just a couple points that I'm aware. How long were you offline?

An Imgur link is fine. Use the IMG tags button above the text box for making a post to inline the image. (Highlight the URL, click the button for instant formatting.) Some hosts are fine for this, like Imgur, others don't work. For an attachment, you just need to go into an image editor and convert from the basic .bmp format most desktop screenshots are saved as to something with compression like .jpg. Note that there is a size restriction on attachment images, too, though I don't have the number right at hand.

Of course herbs dont work for all diseases. Sometimes it may not help and you die!

I didn't use any herbs and an infected wound going up from 0 to 152 hp in under a day can't be an intended mechanic. Perma death in combat is nothing to fear anymore, but better stay up all night and watch over your character if it gets a scratch..
