Wild Chicken Quality bug

If you pick chickens their quality is capped by your survival, but if kill them by attacking with melee you can pick them with their original quality regardless of your survival skill.

Worth noting this has also been true of all small animals since at least 2015

According to patch notes, the animal is hardcapped by the survival of the character(s) doing damage to it.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Yeah, but it works only on animals that deal damage back
