Tubers disabled by area terraform with stockpiles?

As the title says: no tubers seem to be found when leveling an area into stockpile(s).
Also digging loot pool dosn't seem to kick in.

Got both, although very rarely. I suspect tuber spawn to be somehow tied to players since i've gotten far less than last world where many people had already treaded on said soil.

We've gotten dozens and dozens and dozens of tubers leveling into stockpiles.

Yeah I've seen both. On tubers I would say the rng is much lower this world, I'm getting about 1 every 500-750 dirt. As for discarded finds, new world so my guess is the ground hasn't had loads of stuff decay on it yet. I found a 5q squirrel I discarded early on when I was leveling my claim expansion.

Unlucky then while terraforming away some energy bars (with shovel) but only getting tubers/junk while manually digging some already leveled tiles here and there to remove the biome.
