Client side problem, he should check his internet connection.
He could start by having a
Code: Select all
ping game.havenandheadth.com
(with flags, depending on OS, that keep it running) in a console to check if he has packet loss.

This used to happen to me in w10, and has also been happening to me in w11. I've got a pretty decent connection speed and have absolutely zero problems with other games. And I know it happens to other people as well who also have good connection speeds.

Tends to happen at random with no cue as to why you were disconnected. I find it happens more frequently during heavy server load times however. Which leads me to believe its from a desync or server lag (and therefore probably a server logic/netcode issue). But it's impossible to know for certain without getting any errors to debug.

For all we know this could even be due to the server HDD's maxing out on IOPS, taking too long to write data, and then causing a desync.

you could be right, but it's the client system that's causing the issue. It's always hard to say without good diagnostics.

If it was purely server issue it would be spread regularly over the player base and all of us would get dcs more or less at the same rate.
Too old to rock-n-roll, too young to die.
