Killing crabs by going over them with horses makes them disappear.

Not a bug. It was an intentional addition a couple years ago.

I'd be ok with that. Snakeskin gear is just cosmetic anyway, except for the belt. Even then it's not the only six-slot belt in the game.

Snakeskin boots give bonuses to MC and AGI and are gildable. Adder Crown is gildable and also looks awesome. Belt, as you said, gives 6 slots. Nothing "just cosmetic" here.

That said i agree, adders are too easy to collect right now. In fact, i'd be fine with making it so they can't be squashed by carts/horses/etc too, the only way to procure them should be legit, dangerous combat.
Total misplay.

honestly. snakes being ridden down makes sense. and i was very glad when i got ambushed by one while nearly naked chopping wood with an cart early this world.

but i agree. that you should "ruin" the carcass this way. in early game. if they wheren´t so sucky in terms of dryingframeuse - hides produced... they are actually easier pray than most other early animals, especially because there are that many in the mountains,

on crabs tho. i started too sling hedhuges pretty early . cause i cant pay up too 40 hhp per hide, qiull.

but crabs are another beast. even with gloves. and not using on your own dexterity . it is quite harsh too barr yourself from dragonflys, candleberries, and the one bluebell that exists when the pool was full at worldstart for a nearly cosmetic ugly hat that breaks at the first attack and some mediocre food, can there please be some kind of way around that?
bbesides alts. ofc. but i still hope that not needing alts for everything is still a goal for hnh
