sometimes when you put more than 1 hide (smaller than 2x2, for example two 2x1 hides) it only turns one of them into leather, and the other one is left as it is with 100% progress - adding more tanning fluid immediately turns it into leather, but that's uncomfortable

Comfortable is to make sure you have all tanning tubs full to the brim with both water and bark, then that will never happen to you. You can use the tub at least twice without refilling it. But if that is still not enough and you run out of tanning fluid... Either you are too cheap, either your leather is more greedy than anyone else's...

As a rule of thumb, everything that makes life easyer and less boring/grinding for players is a great idea. Everything that makes the game harder is crap coming from sadistic tendencies of Jorbtar helped by the few players with the same kind of disorders.

what I mean is that it doesn't turn into leather just because the 2nd skin was put inside a tiny fraction of second later, it usually works like this even if you use the keyboard shortcut to immediately move all items of the same type (and even if it doesn't work like this, well, the game makes only 1 skin turn into leather and leave the other one as it is, with 100% progress but not turned into leather)

I've not really messed with the tubs this world. If there was a difference in times the skins were put in, then there's going to be a difference in time when they finish. Server lag can turn a few seconds into several minutes. If you left the area and came back, assuming the tub was at proper fluid levels, it'd probably turn on its own.

okay, I guess this might be the reason of why this happened, that explains it

it was at proper fluid level before turning one of the skins into leather, but it was not after that happened

Hard to say. I'm not privvy to server details. When you add the tanning fluid, water, or bark, it forces a refresh, so if the server is just hanging onto the data and hasn't processed it yet, it gets you the new information. (This is my assumption of what's going on based on what I've seen and read.)

Game only does that if you have too few bark in the tub, with or without water. Either too few fluid either too diluted to tan all the leather. If you are not that cheap that to not fill the tub with both water and bark then yes, it stops because it can not tan all with what it has. Not a bug, but a consequence of your lack of generosity. Like a real life car can't take you all the way if you only give it a quarter of gallon of fuel.

yeah because I need to save 5 q10 treeback so much
I said it purely because of comfort reasons of course, if the skin was 2x2 it would turn all 4 parts into leather, rather than turn 2 and leave 2 as they are
anyway, it's not a big deal, just wanted to let devs know just incase they don't
