Don't think it's a bug, undocumented change this world that you don't seem to be able to lift mammoths. Has been like this since day 1 world 11

Nobody is going to haul around a cart for a hunting expedition, anyway. Figure might as well go for the absurd... even if you could load them, they'd break after a couple of times unloading them to fill them up with your butchering.
