Emptying wine from a bottle into a tankard turns into beer

I had a half damaged bottle of wine I tried emptying into a tankard and it turned the wine into beer in both the tankard and bottle. If someone wouldn't mind confirming please feel free to test for yourself.

Does not happen with a wine glass at least.

edit: I tried it with wine bottle, it does not turn into beer.

I actually just got some more wine from a neighbor, I tried again but didn't get the same results. I haven't made beer at any point, even got LP for transferring it to the tankard. Maybe my wine turned into beer after an update or something?
