Is it normal that a burrow can be destroyed by a boar?

I ducked into one while being chased and after I left it got stuck between me and the burrow entrance. It then bashed it out of existence

Seems like an odd decision. So the boar is just headbutting a hole in the ground/cave till is goes 'POP' and phases out of reality.
