When I open the 'autohaven' file, it does what I would assume to be the normal download process, but when it finishes it comes up with this window.
Two folders were downloaded, one called 'Haven Launcher' which seems to have all of the neccessary files, and one called 'Haven and Hearth', which is completely empty. I navigated the launcher folder and clicked on a file called 'hafen', which I assumed would be used to start the game, and when I open that file it comes up with this window.
Java and all of my drivers are up to date, and I have completely disabled the integrated intel graphics in order to use nvidia, and the same problems still exist.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

From what I've seen there is supposed to be an option to select for file types on this screen, but I can only see the option to select for specific programs.

Tobtan, first click [Add], then press [Browse...] in poped-up window and select an exe-file you need

Within the add button it allows you to select files, but only .exe ones, and the ones required are .jar

What you're looking for is "java.exe." While there, I'd suggest adding "javaw.exe" too as it's an alternate means of running Java some apps will use. A .jar file is just a method of telling Java what to do.

Default path on Windows for those is C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_122\bin\
"jre1.8.0_122" folder's name may be different depending on installed Java version
