Retrieving lobster pots from frozen water

So I'm sure fishing nets cannot be raised from frozen water, but I recently managed to retrieve a lobster pot from a frozen patch of a lake.
Is this the intended behaviour?

Thank you for reporting this bug, it is not intended behaviour because everyone should be bored to death during winter just like mosquitos dying when the season change so the fact you were able to remotely enjoy fishing lobsters is a catastrophe which might require a world wipe but we will need some developer confirmation whether the damage can be managable.
