Pick Mushroom Quests in Winter

Every winter I get a series of pick morel or pick parasol missions form my quest givers, last winter i ended up with about five quest givers asking me to pick morels. Today i have been given 2 parasol and a morels picking mission, this means a 40 day wait until i can complete the quest at all. I rarely get these quests in Autumn but every second quest giver wants to watch me pick a mushroom in winter.

Is this intended? Normal to all? Or am i just special and should stop questing in winter?

That is a well-known topic. And apparently it's fine for Jorb that some quests require time to complete.

I'm lucky for now I have to catch a toad, and I'll probably just have to wait for spring. But if I had to pick mushrooms I'd probably cancel the quest.

On my alts I pick forager credo first, as it is the hardest one to complete imho, given those season related quests.

I don't mind the credo quest being hard to do or taking time.

I don't mind things taking time to complete, walking a long way, having to work at making something, finding something rare, etc. Things that take ingame time to achieve.

I don't mind spending time to study objects.

I wouldn't mind if i got these quests in Summer, Autumn and Spring as well as Winter, but i never get these quests until Winter and then it seems to be the majority of quests. Of five quests i was given today three of them asked for mushrooms.

Having an outright time lock on a bunch of things for the better part of two real life months that no amount of game time will fix i find ridiculous and frustrating.

Agreed.

Also a credo like this one opens the paths to a lot of others. So that's 2 months being stuck on tier 1 credos if you want to go the forager path.

Otherwise if you are not too deep in foraging credo, maybe just cancel it and do another one first.

There is no frogs nor toads in spring. Only summer and autumn. Good luck!
