Probably not bug but a flaw in design.

Ants, Wood Grouse Cocks, Owls and rest of similar animals that can engage in combat with player in come cases, when player engage:
Animal goes into an object: ant hill, tree, stone, etc. allowing it to attack player without player being possible to strike back and stirring a headache. In case of owls and eagles, it hurts.

edit: I'm sure even a fox can do that, where despite even having a spear, on certain angles, it could hit me but I couldn't hit it back without repositioning.

After further testing, it seems that almost every animal can "cut corners" and hit player without player being able to hit back unless player reposition. Used ant hill as a blockade on grassfield. I tested every animal I could reach inland and it seemed like only mammoth is somewhat exception.

I did not notice it before so I would guess this is the culprit.

I don't see this thing as much of a problem and I'm probably nitpicking but it has potential to cause some unwanted situations for players.

Its probably possible to get body blocked in a dungeon in a way where its impossible to attack the things blocking you :lol:

Well I was planning to take a boar or two to cave and test it there too.
