fix it pls , with at least 50 survival , a player should be able to start at least a fire , its retarded already having high skill and not even able to start the fire , whats even worst its not a single case.
even fart with a spark could do a better job at lighting fire than this firebrand.

Stop using firebrands. Use pyrite spark, matches, flint & steel, torch or lantern. This is like complaining about nettle gear still giving its penalty even though you have enough CON that your character would not be bothered by the nettles anymore.

As I understand it, the idea behind nettle gear giving an AGI penalty is that the nettles sting, making it harder to move around when covered in nettles. CON represents the character's general sturdiness; at higher CON the same wounds (HHP damage) and pain (SHP damage) hurt less. Thus, it would make some kind of sense that a high-CON character would hardly feel the stinging nettles anymore and it would not inhibit their movement. But as with the firebrand situation, game design (and not going through the effort to add minor realism flourishes) trumps realism here; you're supposed to upgrade from nettle gear to proper clothing, and you're supposed to upgrade from rubbing sticks together to more intelligent ways of lighting a fire. Removing their disadvantages would negate the benefit of these upgrades; why would I craft a lantern for easy lighting if I can just 100% consistently light a fire by rubbing sticks together?

If rubbing sticks bothers you that much and you still have not gotten "other means" of lighting fires once a day, use the hearth magic "Kindle." You only need to light a fire once a day unless you're taking up the life of a complete wilderness hermit.

Even experienced folk who have used various primitive fire starters (two sticks, tinder drill, etc) have issues starting fires based on environmental conditions.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.
