[Gameplay] Walk on water

Postby Noid » Sat Apr 18, 2020 12:42 pm

Hello,

Me and my friend were testing what would happen when you remove the ice from the feet of a player and find out the following exploit/bug:

1) This worked when almost all the ice was melt but some small bits were still up.
2) A player standing on the ice tile dig the ice below his feet, if surrounded by water tiles he will be stuck, floating on the water with an iceblock on his head.
3) At this point another player with a boat get close and let him drop the icecube he's lifting on his head into the boat
4) Now the player floating on the water is free to walk around like a jesus

If required I have a video of the following process

Can confirm that this is a thing.
Log out and log back in also works to get rid of the iceblock. Then turn swimming on and you can walk normally.
Sadly your character starts swimming when the type of tile under you changes.

Its not "free walking on water", you drain your stamina very fast, the same as if you were swimming.

That's incorrect, you can pick up a cube and float on water. it's a bug/precaution so derps don't drown theirselfs.

Also the problem is stem from picking stuff up and being in deep water.
there's currently no implantation of a feature where object drop in deep water float (other then animal bodys and player bodys).
So either~ when you pick up a cube, to give you a chance (and other crap) to stand ontop of water and place it into the boat or w/e.
Or to drop you in the water and lose the object forever.
WARNING! MY ENGISH SUCKS.

Sorry, i ment you get fast stamina drain if you keep walking on that tile or move through other water tiles. If you stand still you get normal stamina drain the same as if you were swimming but not moving.

As a fix: do not make people drown if they do that, but instead make swimming activate when they toggle swimming on.
